Polymeric sand

Polymeric sand provides permanent stability to the pavement.

It is a mixture of selected sands and polymeric binders that complete the adhesion and cohesion of outdoor pavement. This mixture must be installed dry in the same way as regular sand, the excess is removed, and then properly wetted. The sand, after 24 hours, becomes solid and blocks the pavement, increasing its stability; the sand remains firm and flexible for the entire lifespan of the pavement, adapting to its movements due to freeze-thaw cycle in the cold season and is suitable for use in all climatic zones.

ADAPTS TO MOVEMENTS DUE TO CLIMATE CONDITIONS

The use of polymeric sand is recommended for the pool coping, sidewalks, walkways or driveways, patios and parking ramps

It is ideal for grouts up to a maximum of 2.5cm depending on the type of pavement

The surface and joints of the pavement must be very dry to prevent the polymeric sand from sticking to the surface and failing to slide into the grouts

Do not use if rain is forecast within 24 hours following installation or temperatures below +8°C are expected

The quantity varies according to the paving and the width of the joints. As a reference the yield for a 25kg bag ranges from 2m2 to 8m2

Recommendations for use
Instructions for use
1

Properly lay the paving elements and compact them

2

Fill the grout spaces (only if they are very dry) with polymeric sand, ensuring that the polymeric sand remains below the surface of the pavement

3

Remove the excess sand from the surface, if possible with the support of a blower, to remove the dust residue

4

Wet the surface and grouts with a light spray to ensure better absorption. Do not saturate the grout spaces with water, repeat the wetting operation at least 2 or 3 times.

5

Let dry for 24-48 hours, after 1 or 2 days of good weather it will harden
